OBD Fusion App Reviews

GUI could improve i.e.

Transparent display background wouldve been nice for stacking; bring to font still costs me space. Cant place displays far right when on side. A discrete back/menu would be nice too. Beside that its such a great app. Be aware that when connected to wifi any app that needs data stops working. Frustrating that my gps and music doesnt work while using.

Works great with VeePeak wifi dongle

Love it, no problems.

EGT

Works great as good as my $$$ gauges. What it lacks is a EGT perimeter. With a turbo engine the EGT is the most important reading.

I just got a scanner

So, I just got a new Wi-Fi scanner. It displays any information, that you would want it to to. Plus there is an Apple Watch app with it. Which is pretty amazing. The scanner was under $20 and plus this app. Highly recommend this for anyone with a car and a smartphone.

it is a great app

might not be perfect for everyone but I love it because I can finally see my injector balance rates

Won’t work with 1st gen Automatic

I thought this would work with my first generation Automatic. It doesn’t. Waste of $10.

Highly Configurable

Impressed at ease of use and ability to configure. Everything is modifiable from the min and max values shown on a gauge to the gauge colors, styles, and positions. It pulled loads of data from my G37 immediately, no fooling around with configuration files for compatibility, nothing. Considering its more limited audience, $10 is reasonable although might be considered high priced for a mobile app by some. Immediately like this and softened the price paid for the Bluetooth LE unit.

Awesome

This app along with a wireless obd2 dongle works perfectly, although you cannot change any settings on your vehicle but cool to see the values of each monitored sensor, thank you

6.0 Powerstroke

This is a great app. for the 6.0. It allows the user to select the OBDII parameters they want to monitor. It will monitor the 2 most critical things for any 6.0 owner: EOT & ECT. It will also monitor FICM voltage, gph, boost, the list goes on and on. I bought a Verpeak (Elm WiFi) and it connected immediately. There are little to instructions with OBD Fusion, so it may take a little while for the learning curve, but it shouldnt take much. Im not tech savvy at all, and it took me less than 1 hour to be set up with my user defined gauges. I did have to email their tech support group to find the EOT. They responded back in less than 12 hours and explained step by step how to get to the right menu. This is an awesome tool, and Im still learning the full functionality. I hope to see a 6.0 blog for it soon. At $10 plus a $15 WiFi device, you are getting a serious diagnostic tool. You CANNOT change your tune with this program, but you can monitor your engine functions, graph them, check and clear trouble codes, and several other things. OBD Fusion works even if you have custom tunes programmed in your Powerstroke. This is the cheapest thing youll ever get for your 6.0, and it could easily keep you from having a really bad day.

Powerful

This app is great! Has many advanced features not found in other apps, which helped me diagnose a misfire. Could use some slightly better design work, but other than that its perfect and well worth the price.

Not any better than free app

Its not any better than free app. I purchased this app to read SRS warning but it couldnt. It doesnt also have mode $06 code details buy just the number. It does have any vehicle specific information.

Good

It works well and is easy to adapt to what you want

Do not waste your money

This app always fails to connect and if you do manage to it immediately shuts down. It has a pretty awesome and enticing "Details" section in the App Store. Unfortunately its just bait to get your money. I wish we could rate with negative stars.

App works great. Very functional.

Ive used this on a 98 4Runner, a 13 Volkswagen TDI, and a friends BMW. I have the VeePeak tool that I bought from Amazon. Ive diagnosed and reset engine codes. Plus, its really cool to watch real time telemetry from the vehicle.

Average app, expected better for the price, I paid

It is basically able to read data and display in fancy dials. Dials can be cosmetically customized. Bad: it frequently disconnects and it is annoying.

Amazing

Bought 90 dollar scan tool from innova to use on my phone. It sucked, I returned it and paid 20 bucks for this app and an elm 327 wifi adapter. Was not disappointed, almost no lag using gauges in real time, the calculated gauges are actually accurate and logs in detail

Good App worth the money

I like this app its worth the money it gives a lot of info about your car that a lot of vehicles do not have anymore on gauges for example voltage on my O2 sensors and instant Mileage and average fuel mileage

Works with Automatic sensor

This app gives you the actual statistics for your driving. It provides a lot of details.

Useful diagnostics app!

I use this app whenever one of my vehicles gets a MIL/CEL. From there I can read the code and troubleshoot the problem instead of second guessing myself and breaking something else. Came in really handy when I had lean condition on one of my cars, so that really helped in narrowing the defective part. Personally the gauges are a plus as I dont really use them but I find them also helpful. For connecting to the vehicle, I had a very cheap generic ELM wifi OBD2 that works with no problems. Overall great app, very simple, you will not be disappointed!

Awesome- buy it

I use the LE Link adapter. Have engine running when trying to sync. Totally awesome setup!!!
